This photo was taken from one of the high points of the Hatcher Pass mountains, looking down at the road in the valley below.

I like this photo a lot, also. I took it while pulling over to give my car a break on the dirt/gravel portion of Hatcher Pass. It's wonderful to look out, with nobody else around, and just see mountains, and more mountains.

Here's a photo of the beautiful winding road on Hatcher Pass. Beware, if you choose to drive on the dirt and gravel road portion of Hatcher Pass, it's just a little rough, lol.

Here's a very typical view of the pipeline that runs along the Dalton Highway. This picture was taken in mid-August, 2007. Not too cold by day, but Deadhorse was below freezing the following morning.
