I took this photo yesterday, June 30, 2011, somewhere north of Palmer and Sutton, Alaska on the Glenn Highway, probably between mile markers 75 and 100.

This is the MTA building in Palmer, Alaska. As you can see, they have a terrific view of one of the mountain ranges here in Palmer.

Palmer, Alaska, March 3, 2011: Due to the high winds over the last twelve days, we've had some "whiteout" conditions like these in Palmer, Alaska. Winds have ranged from lows of 20 mph to highs of 75 mph, with typical average winds of 30-40 mph.

This photo was taken in Portage, Alaska, on Sunday, February 27, 2011. As you can see, winter in Alaska is pretty darned cold.

This is a view of the Hatcher Pass mountain range in Alaska. I believe I took this photo in October or November, 2010.

Here's a photo of me driving on the Dalton Highway in Alaska, on the way to Deadhorse and Prudhoe Bay. As you can see, there's not much traffic on the Dalton Highway.

The mountains you'll see on the drive to Seward, Alaska are truly spectacular. This is just one of hundreds of mountain photos I've taken.

This photo was taken from one of the high points of the Hatcher Pass mountains, looking down at the road in the valley below.

When you drive on the dirt/gravel road portion of Hatcher Pass, you'll be going uphill -- way uphill. As in you better be driving in first gear.
