Colorado or bust
Now that I've told everyone in Alaska that needed to know the news, I can announce here that I'll be moving back to the Lower-48 in September, Colorado, specifically.
The current plan is to keep working here for the next few weeks, then take some time off and visit Talkeetna and Seward one more time before driving the ALCAN back to the Lower48. I don't have any real travel plan, other than to say I hope to stop in Stewart, British Columbia and Hyder, Alaska one more time to say hello to the people there. I may also take a detour and drive to Haines, but time will tell on that adventure.
If I remember the timing right, it should be an excellent time to see some bears. That depends on the weather, but I think my timing will be in the right ballpark.
I'm very sad to leave Alaska, but I'm also happy to move closer to my family. (And I'm also looking forward to some Dunkin' Donuts, Krispy Kreme, or both.)
