New Alaska computer programming company
I've been very busy lately, and haven't taken the time to write any blog posts in a few weeks. The reason for my busy-ness is that I've created a new computer programming company in Alaska, Valley Programming.
If you have seen my previous posts, you know that the company was originally named Mat-Su Valley Programming, but as I've met more and more people here in Alaska, I realized (a) that name was a little too long, and (b) whenever people refer to "the valley" in Alaska, they're always referring to the Mat-Su Valley, so the "Mat-Su" part of the name wasn't necessary. The final kicker in the name change was when I saw the domain name ValleyProgramming.com was available.
An interesting thing about changing the name of a company is that you have to update all the places of information that know you by your old name. For instance, here's a link to my Mat-Su Valley Programming page on BuyAlaska, which I have yet to update. Besides them, I am making changes with the State of Alaska, the Mat-Su Borough, the City of Palmer, banks, the post office, and so on.
In other news, the weather in Palmer, Alaska has been wonderful lately, though very windy the last two days. Palmer's Friday Flings start tomorrow, woo-hoo!
