Alaska news and recent deaths - March, 2011
March 26, 2011: Sorry I haven't posted anything here in a while, I've been busy setting up my computer programming business in Alaska. The last 48 hours have been a bit of a problem as well because the company that provides internet access here in Palmer, Alaska has had problems keeping their part of the internet working. Hopefully we're through that now.
Sadly the local news has been marred by a number of deaths recently. I don't have anything to add to these stories, so I'll just provide links to them at the Anchorage Daily News website:

- Two Wasilla youths die in snowmachine accident
- Person dies in single-car crash in Palmer
At this point in my life I don't ski, but I'm especially touched by the story of the two friends who were skiing at Hatcher Pass because I've spent a lot of time hiking there myself, and when you read something like this you think, wow, that could have been me.
