Iditarod race winners - Summary

I hope this information on historical Iditarod race winners has been helpful. I'll try to add more information to this page as I learn it. And of course I'll update it after we have a 2011 Iditarod race winner.

I'm impressed that you had this updated immediately after John won the 2011 Iditarod... but then I saw that you have Lance Mackey's name listed as Lance Martin in the multiple winners list. Does he have an alias I didn't know about?
I'm disappointed that Lance didn't win his 5th consecutive, but I'm guessing that there's a really good reason for it. He dropped dogs at so many checkpoints that I'm seriously concerned that he'll even finish the race.
On a brighter note, it's nice to see DeeDee Jonrowe and Jessie Royer poised for top 10 finishes this year. You go girls!!!

Thanks for that Lance Mackey correction. I think I merged him with Martin Buser.

And yes, Go Women Go! So great to see so many women running in the race.
