Cooper tires seem to be preferred in Alaska
I'm not sure why yet, but Cooper tires seem to be the preferred brand here in Alaska. For instance, as I've been traveling along, I've seen ads for several tire businesses that claim to have the "lowest prices on Cooper tires" in town.
Also, when I was stranded in Dease Lake, British Columbia on my drive up here, the winter tires I ended up getting were Cooper tires, and when I just bought a pair of "summer tires" (the Cooper CS4 Touring tire), those were also Cooper tires.
I need to investigate this more, but for the moment, that's my tire report from Alaska's heartland. :)
