Best Italian restaurant in Anchorage
In 2007, when I lived in Alaska, I asked a lot of people what the best restaurant in Anchorage was, and I often got the same answer: Villa Nova, an Italian restaurant on Arctic Avenue in Anchorage.
Don't let the simple strip-mall location fool you: as soon as you walk in the Villa Nova, the Italian atmosphere kicks in, starting with the water fountain in the main entrance. The service has always been terrific, and the food was as good as any Italian food I've had anywhere, and I've spent to in over 40 states by now.
I'm not sure what else to write, I haven't written a restaurant recommendation before, but when you're looking for a special dinner when you're in Anchorage, I highly recommend the Villa Nova restaurant.
