Here are two short videos from today's trip in Hyder, Alaska. This first one shows some of the snow from the road, and gives an idea of the steep cliff off the side of the road. Trust me, you want to stay on the road.

This second video shows the rushing green river as I was driving back into town, after my adventure up the road. The sound and color of the water is really spectacular, one of those things you have to see in person to really appreciate.

Two things you'll learn in Alaska are (a) sources of protein make the water green, and (b) where there's green water there are probably bears to be found. Of course that was true for me here today.
